Bringing global economic markets to your computer - it's free!
At the start of the game, each trader is given 1,000 stocks in different commodities (Lumber, Oil, Gold, Electronics, Rice, Coffee). During the game the stock market will change and traders will have to hedge their bets whether to buy, sell, or hold. The aim of the game is to earn as much money as you can. The trader with the most amount of cash and stock value at the end of the game will win.
If you're playing at hard difficulty, each trader is given no stocks at the start of the game and has to use the $10,000 of available funds to build their wealth.
Game size: 1 to 1-25.
Each trader is given 1,000 shares in each commodity and $10,000 of available funds. The prices of these commodities will change throughout the game, so it is up to the trader when to buy, sell and hold their stock.
Stocks will only become available when another trader sells their share. However, at random points in the game the bank may release additional stocks for traders to buy, but the bank may also remove stocks. Stocks are purchased on a first-come-first-serve bases. Trades take less than half a second process and orders are processed at current market rates.
Each game lasts for roughly 15 minutes and during this time, the market updates several times a minute. The countdown at the top indicates how long the market is open for. Each time the market is updated traders will receive a notification.
The Trading Game is free to play. We don't collect any user information (apart from your trader's name and your game performance to display on our leaderboard) and we don't display adverts.
